Hey all -- I think this has been posted about before, but somewhere out there in the wide world is a split cdr featuring some thundering Spiral Joy Band music paired with a dreamtime serenade from Finland's Aethers. Unfortunately, too few copies have arrived here to make available via Klang, but it's out there, somewhere, so we're told --

An honestly gigantic tribute comp -- six and a half hours or so of music -- dedicated to Jack goes on sale any day now (was to be out in March, but crushed the IT grid with its massive-ity). It's download only and besides the audio onslaught includes text and artwork, all assembled quickly and smoothly by Three-Lobed honcho Cory Rayborn and mastered by Patrick Klem.

Pelt, Spiral Joy Band, Black Twigs, Nathan Bowles, Charlie Parr and Tom Carter are among the contributors but there are Klang connections throughout. Besides those mentioned, here's the list: Alvarius B., Elisa Ambrogio, Bardo Pond, Stuart Leslie Braithwaite, Hans Chew, Coach Fingers, Byron Coley with Son of Earth, Luther Dickinson, Chris Forsyth, Danny Paul Grody, Steve Gunn, Heather Leigh, Hush Arbors, C Joynes, Kohoutek, Langtry, MV & EE, Joseph Mattson (reading from "Empty The Sun"), Jenks Miller, Bill Nace, No Neck Blues Band, Cian Nugent, Pigeons, Six Organs of Admittance, Spectre Folk, D. Charles Speer, Sunburned Hand Of The Man, lloyd Thayer, Rick Tomlinson, James Toth, Kerry Kennedy & Jason Meagher, Cath & Phil Tyler, Un, Scott Verrastro, Zaika with Loren Connors, Zaika with Paul Flaherty.
